Montreal is home to three major professional sports teams.

Canadiens logoLe Club de hockey Canadien de Montréal dates back to 1909. It's said to be the most successful professional sports team of the 20th century, having brought home 24 Stanley Cups between 1916 and 1993.

The team – also known as the Habs – is part of the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League. The 2008-2009 season will have special events to mark the team's centennial.

Alouettes logoThe Montreal Alouettes play in the East Division of the Canadian Football League. The annual championship is called the Grey Cup and the regular season is from July to November.

The Alouettes play downtown at the Molson Stadium, near the corner of Pine Avenue and Park Avenue beside McGill University.

Impact logoThe Impact de Montréal soccer team plays in the North American USL First Division. The team was founded in in 1993 by the Saputo family. Games are played in the brand new Saputo Stadium in the Olympic park. Tickets: 514-328-3668 or email ticketing@impactmontreal.com
